The Outstation is on a First Come First Serve Basis.
Outstation rules are in effect from May 15 to September 15 each year

SALT SPRING MARINA OUTSTATION RULES

SETTING UP DECK CHAIRS IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE MAIN DOCK DUE TO FIRE REGULATIONS! If you wish to gather on the dock for a social hour please do so on the breakwater. The marina may be able to provide tables if needed.
 
The following rules are set forth to ensure fair and equitable access to the RCYC outstation for all eligible members. These rules have been approved by the RCYC Bridge who may amend them as circumstances warrant.

  1. Maximum stay is three (3) consecutive nights. Exception is when there is sufficient space available for other member's boats; then a prolonged stay is permitted.
  2. It is understood that in the event the Outstation is full and a member must pay moorage, all vessels at the Outstation must participate in paying this member's moorage cost.
  3. Moorage and power are included in your membership. Members will be responsible to pay the cost of garbage disposal and any other services.
  4. Use of the Outstation is limited to RCYC Regular Members and Life Members.
  5. Once you have arrived at the marina, go to our website (member only area) and "sign in" so other members know you are on the dock.
  6. All eligible members shall have equal privileges at the Outstation.
  7. No members’ vessels may be moved except in an emergency.
  8. No member or owner shall leave their vessel for more than 12 hours, unless extenuating circumstances.
  9. RCYC Burgee MUST be flown at all times during a vessel's stay at the Outstation.
  10. Rafting is not allowed at Salt Spring Marina.

  12. Current Membership cards should be carried with you at all times in the event you may be requested to show proof of membership.
  13. Respectful and courteous behaviour is expected from all members and their guests at all times. Use of the Outstation is at each member's risk.
  14. RCYC and its Officers assume neither responsibility nor liability for members' vessels, equipment and/or guests aboard said vessels.
  15. Upon occupancy (at tie-up), a member is deemed to have accepted all of the rules, conditions, responsibilities and liabilities as stated in the RCYC Outstation General Rules and Salt Spring Marina Rules and Regulations that every member has received.
  16. There are no reciprocal privileges with other Yacht Clubs for the use of the RCYC Outstation.
  17. Resolution of disputes regarding non-covered issues shall rest with the RCYC Bridge. All disputes shall be submitted in writing to the Commodore.
  18. All members using the Outstation are required to carry $2,000,000 Liability Insurance on their vessel.
